JOB OPENING: Jeunesse 2000 (J2K) Youth Drop-in Assistant

Head & Hands, an NDG based youth organization, is looking for a J2K Youth Drop-in Assistant. J2K is a drop-in center where teens 12-17 can hang out, meet people and plan activities. Duties include staffing the J2K drop-in program and assisting with summer events.  

As an organization that works to facilitate social change and the empowerment of diverse communities of youth, Head & Hands recognizes that experiencing marginalization and oppression often brings both challenges and valuable skills and perspectives. Candidates who experience marginalization are strongly encouraged to apply.

The ideal candidate is bilingual, open-minded, creative, reliable, dynamic, flexible, and enjoys working in a team. Basic computer knowledge, experience working with youth, and an understanding of youth culture and music community are assets.

To be eligible you must have been a full-time student last semester, with the intention of returning to school full-time in the fall, and between the ages of 15 - 30.

Hours per week: 30 Hourly wage: $12.00 Working period: 6 weeks contract from July 16th– August 24th, 2018
