Beyond volleyball with balls: the sex ed relay race!

The eighth annual Serve tournament is making its glorious return on July 28th 2013!!! Get your game on for social change!! This funtastic day of volleyball gathers the bar and restaurant community in Montreal for a volleyball competition in support of the Sense Project, Head & Hands’ peer-based sexual education program offered to Montreal’s youth. It is extremely well attended and so much fun; last year we had 30 teams and raised an amazing $41,000! Come show us your support and grab a beer, some fresh air, or some food, or take part in the myriad of activities on site. We’re so stoked!!

Volunteer Call-Out: SERVE 2012

SERVE 2012 is around the corner and we are getting ready to bump, set, and spike for the 7th year in a row! This year’s annual SERVE Volleyball tournament is gearing up to support Sex Ed and raise awareness to support the Sense Project, our peer-based sex education project. The SERVE tournament is an exciting, fun, and sexy event that engages the vibrant bar and restaurant community in a fresh approach to fundraising and provides us with a unique opportunity to share our holistic vision of youth empowerment and wellness with Montrealers at large.

The tournament will be held on Sunday, July 29th 2012 at Jeanne-Mance Park. We are currently looking for approximately 60 volunteers to help make SERVE 2012 a success! We need volunteers for a huge variety of roles so if you are interested please contact Shanice ASAP at intern.headandhands@gmail.com or at 514-481-0277 to sign up! You will all have a chance to hit up the BBQ, grab a beer or two and ride our Slip ‘n’ Slide. Most importantly, you will help us reach our ultimate goal of $35,000 for the Sense Project! We’re hiring an event coordinator!

Check out this job posting for an event coordinator for the Sense Project! This person will be in charge of organizing our annual bar-and-restaurant volleyball tournament fundraiser, SERVE. SERVE Volleyball Tournament Coordinator
Head & Hands, a non-profit community organization dedicated to youth empowerment, is looking for an Event Coordinator for a full time 6 month contract. This person will be the coordinator of a large scale fundraising volleyball tournament to benefit the Sense Project. Skills required: organization, strong communication and networking skills, bilingualism, comfort working autonomously, fundraising and event planning experience. Familiarity with Montreal business sector and Head & Hands’ mission and approach are assets. Candidate MUST qualify for Emploi Quebec subvention salariale. Responsable du tournoi bénéfice SERVE
À deux mains, un organisme communautaire à but non lucratif dédié à l’autonomie des jeunes, est à la recherche d’un(e) Responsable du tournoi bénéfice SERVE pour un contrat de 6 mois à temps plein. Le poste est chargé d’organiser un tournoi de volley-ball bénéfice au profit du Projet sens. Le candidat idéal aura les compétences suivantes: sens d’organisation, fortes compétences en communication et réseautage, bilinguisme, capacité du travail autonome, expériences en levée de fonds et de l’évènementiel. Des fortes connaissances de la culture d’entreprise montréalaise et de la mission et l’approche de A deux mains sont des atouts. Le candidat DOIT être éligible pour une subvention salariale d’Emploi Québec.
