Le d\u00e9but du centre d'accueil pour les jeunes<\/div>

En octobre 1970, Mark Earley et Pat Crawshaw, de travailleurs de rue du YMCA, se sont s\u00e9par\u00e9s du programme, ont obtenu un financement ind\u00e9pendant, et ont ouvert un centre d\u2019accueil qui d\u00e9finissait les services aux jeunes selon ses propres termes. Cet organisme historique, affectueusement connu sous le nom de \u201d Head & Hands \u201d dans la communaut\u00e9 montr\u00e9alaise de NDG \u00e9tait, comme c\u2019est le cas aujourd\u2019hui, <\/span>anim\u00e9 par la mission de fournir aux jeunes les outils dont ils ont besoin pour prendre des d\u00e9cisions \u00e9clair\u00e9es concernant leur bien-\u00eatre<\/b> physique et mental. Au d\u00e9but, les services comprenaient la gyn\u00e9cologie, la m\u00e9decine g\u00e9n\u00e9rale, les cliniques dentaires, le counseling et l\u2019artisanat.<\/b><\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Pendant trente ans, \u00c0 deux mains a coordonn\u00e9 \u201cDimanche au soleil\u201d,<\/b> un \u00e9v\u00e9nement estival populaire qui a r\u00e9uni musiciens, artisans, organismes de services communautaires et membres de la communaut\u00e9 pour une journ\u00e9e de plaisir et d\u2019\u00e9ducation.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

En 2005, nous avons re\u00e7u une subvention de d\u00e9marrage initiale pour \u00e9laborer un programme d\u2019\u00e9ducation sexuelle par les pairs (le<\/strong><\/span> Projet Sens<\/strong>) parce que nous croyons qu\u2019il est important pour les jeunes de conna\u00eetre la sexualit\u00e9 afin qu\u2019ils puissent prendre des d\u00e9cisions habilitantes en ce qui concerne leur sant\u00e9 sexuelle.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n

\u00c0 deux mains est l\u2019un des seuls organismes sans but lucratif survivants \u00e0 \u00eatre issu du mouvement des \u201d cliniques gratuites \u201d des ann\u00e9es 1970 \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al.<\/b> La collectivit\u00e9 de NDG appuie fermement notre travail depuis plus de quatre d\u00e9cennies, se mobilisant pour nous aider \u00e0 reconstruire apr\u00e8s deux incendies et \u00e0 obtenir du financement lorsque nous avons fait face \u00e0 la menace tr\u00e8s r\u00e9elle de fermeture en raison des compressions budg\u00e9taires.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
