Our Vision
Head & Hands envisions its Frontline Services program as a support system for youth with a non-judgmental care that nurtures the well-being and dignity of every young person in the community.
Our Mission
Head & Hands offers a comprehensive Frontline Services program that integrates the Food Pantry, Harm Reduction initiatives, and Front Desk (Reception) operations to support the well-being of youth in the community. Each component plays a vital role in delivering inclusive and non-judgmental services
Our Services
All Head & Hands frontline services are free for youth aged 12-25. Services can be provided in both English and French.
Our services includes:
Front Desk (Reception)
The Front Desk serves as the power base, connecting individuals to various programs and external resources. The Front Desk Coordinator maintains a welcoming environment, assesses service user needs, provides information and referrals, and supports training for new staff and volunteers. This role is crucial in ensuring seamless access to services and fostering a supportive atmosphere for all visitors.
Together, these components create an integrated support system that addresses immediate needs while promoting overall well-being. The collaborative efforts of the Food Pantry, Harm Reduction services, and Front Desk ensure that our communities, especially youth receive comprehensive care in a respectful and inclusive environment.
Food Pantry
The Food Pantry addresses food insecurity by providing essential food items to youth between 12 and 25 years. Collaborations with organizations like the Depot Community Food Centre enable the pantry to offer fresh fruits, snacks, and culturally relevant foods.

Harm reduction is an intervention approach that aims to mitigate the risks associated with drug use and sexual activity. We provide free access to a “gear bar” for safer sex and safer drug use materials and information, as well as secure sharps disposal. The Intervenant sur Place is available for individual support to Frontline service users, linking clients with other relevant community workers and organizations, and offering in-depth advocacy and follow-up. Our harm reduction services are available to all members of the community, regardless of age.
