About
The Food Security Coordinator leads the planning, coordination, and delivery of Head & Hands’ food security initiatives, including the weekly food bank, community meals, emergency food supports, volunteer coordination, food procurement, inventory management, community partnerships, and food safety compliance. The coordinator plays a key role in ensuring that food services are welcoming, accessible, and responsive to the needs of the community.
Requirements
- Experience in food services, community kitchens, or food security programs.
- Knowledge of food safety standards.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Experience coordinating volunteers is considered an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Valid Food Handler Certification is an asset.
- Ability to work in both French and English
